The impetus was on the home side, as Milan already carried an advantage heading into the encounter. Spurs however, failed to find the back of the net, thus eliminating them from the competition.

“Very happy, for myself, for the team, for the fans that came. I think we really played a good game over the two legs. To be in the quarterfinals, we’re really happy.” Fikayo Tomori elaborated to UEFA.

“I think going into these two legs we knew how dangerous Tottenham were with their front three. It was a good challenge for us. Credit to us because we managed to limit their chances a lot.

“They didn’t have too many clear-cut chances and, like you said, we’re a young team. Not only at the back but in midfield and upfront so we’re still learning, but games like this and Champions League nights like this really breed and build confidence for the team

“Like I said if we play like we played today, then we can cause a lot of teams’ problems. I think the focus we showed was really important and decisive over these two games.

“Going into the next round we shouldn’t be fearing anyone. This is the competition we want to be in so whoever we play we have to prepare well for it and I’m sure its going to be two great games.” He confirmed.
