AFCON Review: Egypt Defeat Cameroon To Make It to The Final! The Pharaohs made it past the Indomitable Lions of Africa.

Egypt beat Cameroon 3-1 on penalties in their AFCON semi-final last night. The Egyptians are now one match away from being crowned African champions once again.

The Pharaohs knocked out the hosts in the last 4, snatching away any hopes of winning on home soil. The two most successful African nations looked set to produce a titanic battle.

During the 90 minutes of the match, it was a tense and cagey affair. Neither of the due teams wanted to give away too much to their opponent, due to the nature of the game.

However, it was Cameroon that looked to dominate the match and take charge of proceedings. Try as they might, no one was able to break the deadlock in normal time and extra time itself.

Harold Moukoudi and James Lea-Siliki had their penalties saved by Egyptian goalkeeper Abou Gabal. Clinton Njie missed with the hosts last chance to make it to the final.
