Andile Mpisane Returns to the Pitch with Flair at Mbabane Highlanders AM

Former Royal AM player and chairman Andile Mpisane made a striking return to the pitch over the weekend, bringing his signature showboating style to Mbabane Highlanders AM in Eswatini. The 24-year-old, who calls himself “Expensive 10”, made his debut in a 2-0 win over Manzini Sea Birds in the Premier League of Eswatini.
Mpisane’s return coincides with his mother, businesswoman Shauwn “MaMkhize” Mkhize, assuming the role of club president. Under her leadership, Mbabane Highlanders AM has been rebranded to reflect the Royal AM identity, including adopting similar colours and adding “AM” to the club’s name.
Wearing the iconic number 10 shirt, Mpisane entertained fans with his midfield creativity. He displayed his trademark flair, including a no-look pass that he shared on Instagram, highlighting his confidence and technical skill.
Mpisane’s style is reminiscent of his time at Royal AM, where he made nine appearances during the 2024/25 Betway Premiership season. His debut helped Highlanders secure a much-needed victory, providing a positive momentum shift after the team’s opening defeat before the international break.
The return of Mpisane not only strengthens Highlanders’ squad but also brings attention to the club’s revamped identity. Fans will be watching closely to see if his Kasi Flava flair can consistently translate into results on the pitch for the rebranded team.
