Benson Mhlongo Comforting Pirates Players!
As Orlando Pirates woes continue this season without a coach, Ben Mhlongo assistant coach to caretaker Augusto Palacios has been morally supporting the players. With the departure of Mushin Ertugral, Mhlongo joined Bradley Carnell as second assistant coach late last year.
Mhlongo is familiar with the club as he once captained the sea robbers. The iron duke, Dr Irvin Khoza will announce a new coach to take over the reigns from Palacios. Mhlongo will however, stay on the Bucs bench with Bradley Carnell to assist whoever the new coach will be.
For a club with the caliber of Orlando Pirates, the players need to reinvent the image of the club to the supporters. Bucs have changed coaches over the last two seasons and all coaches have emphasized lack of discipline from players and this is evident when the team players that there is no level of urgency and commitment to fly the black and white jersey high.
Mhlongo and Carnell will do their utmost best to help the new coach set to be announced on the 20th of February 2017, settle and work with the players. The two have condemned ill-discipline from players who are big headed and do not play according to instructions.
