Black Leopards Retain Their PSL Status!

Black Leopards Retain Their PSL Status! After a 2-0 win over Ajax Cape Town, Black Leopards sealed their PSL status for yet another season. The results mean that Leopards cannot be caught at #1 in the promotion playoff mini league.

Black Leopards will play in the PSL for yet another season. Morgan Shivambu and Mongezi Bobe have managed to keep up Lidoda Duvha with the help of Mwape Musonda.

Musonda’s goals helped Leopards win all their game and retain their status. Although it is confirmed that Lidoda Duvha are returning, there’s still one more match to play.

Black Leopards take on TTM (Tshakhuma) on Monday in what will be a dead rubber. A contrast of fortunes as Leopards has won all their games while Tshakuma have lost all their games.

This is off no damage to TTM, as they will enter the PSL after their takeover of 2017 champions Wits University. One thing that will need to change is their performances though.

There will be a massive squad review at TTM this close season. They’ve already secured the services of Joseph Molongoane and Oupa Manyisa.

TTM will merge the current squad with the Wits University squad, so there needs to be a mass exodus in order to have a 25-man squad. TTM have already released Sifiso Hlanti and Thabang Monare of the Wits camp.

There will be more players to be released. It seems as if the Wits players aren’t too keen on relocating to Limpopo and being part of TTM.

So, Ajax are the real losers of this promotion playoff. TTM and Black Leopards are both PSL sides. Many argue that maybe TTM shouldn’t have participated in the playoffs because they’ve already secured their PSL status.

Maybe the Glad Africa Championship should’ve allowed the 4th placed team in the division to participate in the playoffs. TTM had nothing to lose as they already took over an established PSL side. Ajax Cape Town are the real losers as Black Leopards retain their PSL status!
