In astonishing fashion, Rangers won the league title without losing a single game. They completed the much coveted Invincible season.
“I am very proud of the players, they have been absolutely sensational from the first day of pre-season.” Coach Steven Gerrard told RangersTV.
“They seemed to come back with a different mentality and a different focus and I am delighted for everyone connected with the club. This club has been to hell and back and we have managed to get them back on top but now it is important that we build on that and use it as a launch pad for more.
“There will be time in the coming days and weeks to really analyse the season and reflect. Some of the numbers the lads have posted this year, the clean sheets, the points and the individual numbers have been sensational.
“It hasn’t always been plain sailing, we have had to suffer and we’ve had some setbacks but as long as you are using them to learn and grow and use them to your benefit moving forward you are going to believe you are going to get there and we have never lost belief.”
