Bradley Grobler signed a two year extension recently. He scored 16-goals in the current campaign and won the Golden Boot.
The 33-year-old was subject to interest from Kaizer Chiefs according to reports. He was targeted to lead the line in their recruitment process.
This contract renewal has put an end to that.
Incredibly, Grobler scored 13 league goals by February of this year. He then sustained an injury which kept him out for two months.
He recently returned to the playing field and no one had surpassed his goal tally. He is only the 5th player over the past decade to score +15 league goals in the PSL.
“I’m very happy to say that we have entered into a new 2 year agreement with Bradley. As our all-time leading goal scorer and current PSL Golden Boot, he is central to our attacking aspirations next season.” Club CEO Stan Matthews said on the club’s Twitter.
“He told me yesterday that he feels he can go past 20 goals next season and if you consider the games he missed this year then he has a real chance of doing that. He certainly is at the top of his game right now and has made us very proud with his achievements.” Matthews concluded.
Grobler will now enjoy a preseason before attempting to score in excess of 20 league goals in the next season. Bradley Grobler Signs Contract Extension With SuperSport United!
