BRIGHTON MHLONGO INJURED!

Orlando Pirates shot stopper Brighton Mhlongo suffers another injury setback this time to his ankle. Mhlongo filled in big shoes when he took over rains for the Pirates goalie from the late Senzo Meyiwa.

Mhlongo has had a great run in the first line up of Pirates surpassing Siyabonga Mpontshane and Jackson Mabogwane. Mhlongo suffered a huge blow last season with a knee injury that saw him miss half of the 2015/2016 season.

Orlando Pirates have now signed a new shot stopper from Nigeria, Emmanuel Daniel to strengthen their squad. Daniel joined the sea robbers last week and has been training with the senior team and will look to fight his way into the first eleven this season. This will not be a walk in the park as he Mabogwane, Mpontshane and Mhlongo will too work hard.
