“We can still finish in the top eight” – Says Platinum Stars Striker, Bongi Ntuli
Platinum Stars striker Bongi Ntuli says Dikwena can still finish the season in the top eight. Dikwena are currently at the bottom of the Absa Premiership with seven points after 10 matches – one win, four draws and five losses. Though the odds seem stuck against Dikwena, Ntuli believes Dikwena will rediscover their form and go up the table.
“We are determined to make sure that we make the top eight this season. We have belief that we can make the top eight. We have a chance to move from the relegation zone. We are really determined and all the games that we are playing we are taking them as cup finals. By December we would have moved from the bottom,” said Ntuli, whose side will play Bloemfontein Celtic after the Fifa break.
“We are playing Celtic again and the coach has said that they can’t beat us again. We have hope. I have belief that we can do well. I can confidently say that we will win especially when we play at home. We will make sure that we make our supporters happy because we need that support. We want to make them happy with wins.”
Ntuli seem to have found his scoring boots. He has found the back of the net three times in the last four matches. The gangly forward is keen to work hard on his finishing.
“I am happy with my performances as an individual because I have been scoring. I think my confidence is now back. It was really frustrating me that I was not scoring goals because strikers are judged by goals. I needed that one goal so that I can be okay. I think it is going well at the moment. I need to put in some extra work at training so that I become clinical and finish those chances. I need to work on my finishing. I have to bury the chances that I get,” said Ntuli.
Dikwena’s next assignment is a home fixture against Celtic on November 21.
