Cape Town Spurs Looking for Reaction Against SuperSport United! The Urban Warriors take on Matsatsantsa in their next fixture. 

Cape Town Spurs host SuperSport United in the DSTV Premiership tonight. Midfielder Michael Morton has encouraged his teammates to lift their heads ahead of the encounter.

The Urban Warriors have lost all seven of their matches in the league since returning to the big time. This poor form saw head coach Shaun Bartlett lose his job at the beginning of the week. 

Technical director Sean Conner has taken over the coaching reigns on a temporary basis, with Vasili Manousakis appointed as his assistant coach. 

“Yeah, look, I think it’s about looking for a reaction now, basically, having lost the coach as well,” Morton told Sowetan. 

“The boys want to take the responsibility and react against SuperSport. It’s never easy. 

“Some of us have been through this before. Losing a coach is not easy for the squad, but it’s the nature of the game. 

“The mood could be better but we are all getting ready for this one.

“It’s tough, if you look at the performances. It has been good. 

“I mean the last two games, we took the lead and we didn’t see the result out.

“In two days, it’s very hard to see because it’s a whole new approach, so maybe much more focus is on finer details and we will see how we get on.

“The reality is that we have to turn it around quickly. Obviously, there are still 23 games to go for us and we need to put points on the board.” He stated.
