Royal AM beat Maritzburg United 2-1 in the DSTV Premiership on Sunday evening. Andile Mpisane then took to the football field to give players their bonuses on live TV.
Some of the Royal AM players were visibly awkward as processions took place. Many have condemned this behaviour by Twihli Twahla.
The football fraternity believe that it is right to incentivize players and give them their bonuses. However, the way it was done has been scrutinised.
The off the field antics of Royal AM have come under the spotlight in recent weeks. A member of the Royal AM entourage was seen with a gun to his hip at the FNB Stadium after they thumped Kaizer Chiefs 4-1 a few weeks ago.
Many could not believe that a gun was allowed to enter a football stadium.
They are now under the spotlight for Sunday’s antics.
On the field, John Maduka’s side are enjoying a strong run of form. They have now won four consecutive league matches.
Twihli Twahla lost their first two matches of the season. This was natural because of the calamitous way their league campaign has started.
