Teboho Mokoena is one of the many Puma athletes in the PSL and at Mamelodi Sundowns. As a result, he has the opportunity to sport some of their finest gear.
The Bafana Bafana international is one of the best players in the DSTV Premiership, and he plays for the best team in the division. A team which is sponsored by Puma, his own sponsor.
Because of this, he stays dripped in their latest fashion gear off the pitch. Puma is generally one of the most loved brands by South Africa’s youth. This is because their offerings are always what is currently trending, making it easy to resonate with.
On the pitch, Mokoena is enjoying a fine season with Mamelodi Sundowns. He is a mainstay in that midfield, keeping the likes of Andile Jali, Bongani Zungu and Lebohang Maboe on the bench.
However, it wasn’t always plain sailing when he arrived at the club last January.
“Last season, I was struggling with the intensity when I got here. But during pre-season, I told myself that I needed to work on that,” he addressed, earlier this month.
“I think my trip to Dubai helped me a lot. It was very hot, so I did a lot of work on my endurance and stamina. And I came back (to SA) in a better shape.
“I think I’m enjoying myself as a six. I think the competition that we have in the team is also making me a better player. So, overall, competition helps us.
“I wasn’t really shocked by my move because I think I worked very hard to be where I am right now. But the quality within the team is very high,” he said.
“Like I said, competition is what makes Sundowns a competitive team. And even from the coach [Rulani Mokwena], I’ve learnt a lot. As players, we can say he inspires us.” He added
