Chelsea FC Happy to Have Mauricio Pochettino as Head Coach! The Blues have announced their new man in charge.

Mauricio Pochettino has been revealed as the new head coach at Chelsea FC. He will begin his duties in the new season in July.

The season has been one to forget for the Blues. What began as a promising campaign under Thomas Tuchel, has ended as a complete calamity under caretaker manager Frank Lampard, as they finished 12^th in the Premier League.

The former player has officially left the building, with the reins now being taken on by Mauricio Pochettino.

Pochettino previously managed Tottenham Hotspurs and PSG, in his last two high profile positions. He has joined Chelsea on a two-year contract, with the option to extend for a further year.

“Mauricio’s experience, standards of excellence, leadership qualities and character will serve Chelsea Football Club well as we move forward,” the club’s sporting directors announced.

“He is a winning coach, who has worked at the highest levels, in multiple leagues and languages. His ethos, tactical approach and commitment to development all made him the exceptional candidate.” They spoke.

The Blues will be hoping that the Argentine will steer them back into the UEFA Champions League, and potentially win a trophy as well.

“Pochettino is a coach renowned for his sides’ high-energy and eye-catching style and he has built a reputation for helping young players realise their full potential within a strong squad ethos.

“The 51-year-old has several seasons of Premier League experience in addition to coaching in Spain and France. He was most recently in charge at Paris Saint-Germain and guided the club to a Ligue 1 title and the Coupe de France.

“Mauricio’s staff will include Jesus Perez, Miguel D’Agostino, Toni Jimenez and Sebastiano Pochettino.” The club announced.
