Chippa United Secure First Betway Premiership Win With 2-1 Victory Over Orbit College

Chippa United recorded their first win of the Betway Premiership season, beating debutants Orbit College 2-1 on Tuesday evening. The Chilli Boys made two changes from their loss to Orlando Pirates, introducing Ayabulela Konqobe and Seun Ndlovu, while Monnapule Saleng was absent from Orbit’s matchday squad.
Chippa started the game strongly and opened the scoring ten minutes before halftime. Xolani Sithole capitalized on space in the six-yard box and converted a deflected strike to give the home side the lead. Orbit College struggled to respond and went into the break trailing.
After the restart, Orbit introduced key attacker Gomolemo Khoto for Lethabo Modimoeng, hoping to turn the game around. Chippa coach Luc Eymael made a tactical substitution, bringing on Goodman Mosele for Khaya Mfecane. The change paid off, as Chippa extended their lead eight minutes from time when Justice Figareido finished cleverly after Orbit lost possession.
Orbit College managed a late goal through Siyabulela Mabele, who converted a precise delivery into the net. Despite the effort, the visitors could not find an equalizer, leaving Chippa with their first points of the season.
Confirmed line-ups:
Chippa United: Nwabali, Figareido, Fasika, Mfecane, Ndlovu, Sithole, Seabi, Konqobe, Kammies, Modise, Philander
Orbit College: Nkomo, Mkhabela, Jingana, Mokgosi, Nhlapo, Batsi, Thibedi, Mabele, Moleleki, Modimoeng, Lukhele
