Dylan Kerr Reportedly Placed on Special Leave by Swallows FC! This follows a series of bad results for the Dube Birds.

Swallows FC head coach Dylan Kerr has been reportedly placed on special leave by David Mogashoa. This is as they now find themselves close to the relegation spot.

The Dube Birds were thrashed 4-0 by Golden Arrows on Saturday afternoon. This followed a 2-1 defeat at home to Stellenbosch FC last week.

These results have left Swallows on 14^th place, floating close to the relegation spots.

After defeat on Saturday, Kerr admitted that he would understand if his bosses sought to remove him from his duties.

“After this result, I don’t know what the chairman is thinking,” admitted Kerr after the game.

“I have to take responsibility for which I will. If the chairman feels it is time for change, then that is his decision.

“I don’t think it was a 4-0 game, I don’t think we kind of capitalised on our opportunities we had especially in the first half. I thought we got chances to score.” He admitted.

“…It was believed that Mogashoa would fire Kerr, but sources have revealed that his contract is watertight, and he cannot be fired easily hence he had been placed on special leave.” Phakaaathi reported.

“If he is fired, he would have to be paid out and at the moment Swallows cannot afford that as they are going through financial difficulties. 

“That is why he has just been placed on special leave. Phakaaathi had reported earlier that Swallows had already lined up Ernst Middendorp for the position.

“This was while Kerr was unavailable due to protracted work permit issues which prevented him from sitting on the bench for the team’s games.”
