Willard Katsande arrived at Kaizer Chiefs from Ajax Cape Town exactly 10 seasons ago. He has left a huge impression on the fans of the club.
The combustive midfielder will be remembered for his hard tackling and effervescence on the pitch. In his 10 years with the club, he won four trophies.
These include the Telkom Knockout, Nedbank Cup and 2 ABSA Premiership titles. Ironically, all these trophies were won under Stuart Baxter, the current Kaizer Chiefs head coach.
Amakhosi are currently in the middle of a massive squad rebuild. They are recovering from a one-year transfer ban imposed by FIFA.
This meant that they could not participate in the transfer window. They could only sell players, not buy.
Consequently, a lot of overaged players were not sold by the club, as they would not be replaced. However, they are now active in the transfer window and currently adding players to the squad.
