Football Fraternity Reacts as Andile Mpisane Nears PSL Debut! The ever-popular figure shocked the country in his team’s most recent PSL match.
Andile Mpisane was on the bench for Royal AM as they played against Richards Bay FC on Tuesday night. The football fraternity was pleasantly surprised to see him near his PSL debut.
Mpisane has not featured in the DSTV Premiership in the two years that the club has been in the division. His last professional appearance was in the NFD.
It was thought that the Royal AM chairman would not necessarily take on any playing role in the DSTV Premiership. Particularly because this is a much tougher division, unlike the NFD.
However, he was on the bench on Tuesday.
“It’s a work in progress,” co-coach Khabo Zondo said to the press after the match.
“We must give him a chance to get to the level we’re at. He is part of our team and has been taking his training very seriously.
“It’s another way of encouraging him to do more on the field.” He spoke.
