Manti Mekoa and Andile Jali played together at Orlando Pirates between 2012 and 2014. They have remained friends ever since they started playing for different club all those years ago.
Andile Jali joined The Buccaneers in 2009 as a 19 year old. He left the Soweto Giants for greener pastures in Belgium 5 years later in 2014.
Manti Mekoa on the other hand, joined The Ghost in 2012, alongside close friend Mpho Makola. They both joined from Free State Stars.
Mekoa left the Soweto Giants in 2016.
Both midfielders have remained close friends, despite Jali leaving for Europe all those years ago. It seems that they built a strong camaraderie when they shared a dressing room together.
These days, Andile Jali represents Mamelodi Sundowns. He has enjoyed a highly successful tenure in his time with The Brazilians.
His accolades at the club include three league titles, a Telkom Knockout trophy and a Nedbank Cup trophy. He will likely be a starter as Mamelodi Sundowns play Cape Town City in the MTN 8 final tomorrow night.
Manti Mekoa on the other hand has had a more modest twilight to his career. He currently plays for Cape Umoya in the GladAfrica Championship.
He is 36 years old, which means that retirement is on the horizon for him. Former Orlando Pirates Midfielders Andile Jali And Manti Mekoa Link Up!
