Gavin Hunt Says A Draw Was A Fair Result! Kaizer Chiefs drew 0-0 away to Petro Luanda in the CAF Champions League yesterday.

This was a draw that sees Chiefs collect 5 points from a possible 12 in the group stages so far. After the subdued game itself, Coach Gavin Hunt reconciled that a point a piece is a fair outcome for both sides.

“Look, we knew they were gonna be much tougher at home, and they were,” Hunt said in the post-match presser.

“But we also played that way, where we tried to play a little bit more counter attack. So we came back a little bit, 10-15 metres, we dropped the team down.

“And it worked well, I just thought our final ball, our final pass around the box, let us down.”

“And that’s just due to you know, quality so we have to be better there. But all in all, you know, we had a good couple of moments, they had a good couple of moments, so all in all, yeah, that looked a real tired performance from both sides.

“It is one of those things so obviously the draw I think is a fair result.”

Now with a total of 5 points, Amakhosi have to muster positive results against Wydad Athletic and Horoya FC to give themselves a qualification chance.

“So we got five, we’re gonna possibly have to win and a draw, I think might get us in, you know. But we got Wydad.

“And we obviously got Horoya away, which is obviously not going to be easy as well. I think, ja, I mean, all in all, we’ve had one bad result even with pre games, which is good.

“You know, I think we’ve done okay, if you look at the results, only one bad game, even the pre, the four games we played at the beginning. You know, we had some good battling performances.”
