AmaZulu FC visit Dondol Stars in the Nedbank Cup tonight. Midfielder George Maluleka is wary of the threat posed by their opponents.
The Motsepe Foundation Championship side have eliminated SuperSport United from the cup, proving the theory of the competition. The Nedbank Cup has always been associated with giant killing.
It is because of this that Mido wants to give them the respect which they deserve.
“Dondol won’t be an easy opponent.” The midfielder told the club website.
“We have seen a couple of video clips of their games including the SuperSport game.
“They are not afraid of playing, so it will be an interesting game. If we can apply ourselves and approach the game without undermining our opponents.
“Then we will be able to go through to the next round.” He spoke.

Usuthu head coach Fohloza also expressed the threat of losing to Dondol Stars.
“We are aware of the history of the tournament, the stories of David and Goliath but I don’t think we should have that in mind. the approach should be the same as any other game without undermining anyone but respecting the opposition while also showing them while we’re playing in the top-tier” he told members of the media.
“We know what they can do. We watched their game against SuperSport United and also a few of their matches in their league.
“We went to scout them in person just like we did for our previous opponents. It is a good team with good players, and it will be up to us to be up for the occasion” the coach lamented.
