Group E 2022 FIFA World Cup Review: Germany Crash Out in Group Stages! The Germans have been eliminated at this point once more.

Germany won 4-2 against Costa Rica in the 2022 FIFA World Cup last night. Despite this victory, the Germans have been knocked out of the tournament in the first round.

This was a match full of ups and downs. Serge Gnabry gave the four-time world champions the lead in the first half.

However, Costa Rica turned the tie around with two quick fire second half goals. Yeltsin Tejeda and Juan Pablo Vargas with the finishes.

At 2-1 to the South Americans, it meant that they were in line to qualify to the next round. This is when the game quickly turned around once more.

Kai Havertz scored two quick fire goals to give Germany the lead again. Striker Niclas Fullkrug scored a fourth to all but seal victory for the Germans.

Despite the win, Germany crashes out in the group stages of the competition once again, after suffering the same ill fortune 4 years ago. This is because of their loss to Japan in the opening match and draw to Spain in their next game.
