The 25-year-old is one of the 10+ players to have joined Mamelodi Sundowns this season. Domingo already has ideas on the CAF Champions League.
Haashim Domingo Wants to Win the CAF Champions League with Sundowns!
Domingo has had an adventurous time as a professional football player. He made his official debut for Ajax Cape Town (now known as Cape Town Spurs).
He has also played internationally, for Portuguese outfit Guimaraes SC B. It is in this time that he had an opportunity to share a dressing room with for Sundowns midfielder Bongani Zungu.
He has also played in Norway. He then returned to South Arica to play for the now defunct Bidvest Wits.
He joined Mamelodi Sundowns as a free agent after the sale of Wits to Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila.
He has found life in Chloorkop quite adaptable.
“I am enjoying the time I have spent with the club since joining and you know Sundowns have a lot of great players and that is what made me join the team.
“It has been a great time and I am learning every day at training” he tells the Mamelodi Sundowns website.
Domingo made his debut for Mamelodi Sundowns in the 1-0 defeat at home to Bloemfontein Celtic in the MTN 8.
Despite the early elimination in the MTN 8, Haashim Domingo hopes to win a lot of silverware with Sundowns. He is eyeing the CAF Champions League in particular.
“I want to play regularly, help the team to win trophies more especially the CAF Champions League.
“By playing that will also help in my chances of playing for Bafana Bafana” he concluded.
