Kaizer Chiefs Want to Play in The CAF Champions League Says Brandon Petersen! Amakhosi know exactly what they want to accomplish this campaign.

Kaizer Chiefs occupy the 4^th spot on the DSTV Premiership table. Goalkeeper Brandon Petersen has stated that their intentions are to play in the CAF Champions League next season.

The last time Amakhosi participated in the competition they reached the final in 2021, losing 3-0 to Al Ahly, coached by Pitso Mosimane. It was the first time they had ever made it out of the group stages of the competition.

That is a stage they want to see themselves playing in once more.

“We obviously want to finish as high up as possible. The CAF spot is still available, so I think that’s our main aim now.” Petersen told the club website.

“As much as we are taking one game at a time, one eye is always on the prize, that second spot, so we are going into every game like it’s a cup final for us. We want maximum points because we want to play CAF football next season.” He added.

Amakhosi take on Stellenbosch FC this weekend and has pleaded with their fans to rally behind them in the last stretch of the season.

“Our supporters are our 12^th man, you know. We feed off them and they have been phenomenal in backing us,”

“We are still in the Nedbank Cup, and we plan to go all the way to the final and win it. At the same time, I can assure them that going out for every league match, the players are ready and willing to fight because everyone wants to play CAF football, and everyone wants to win a trophy and bring back the glory days for the Club.” He added.
