‘I’m Still Expecting That To Happen’ – Mike Makaab On Mahlatsi’s Move To Chiefs
‘I’m Still Expecting That To Happen’ – Mike Makaab On Mahlatsi’s Move To Chiefs. Mike Makaab who is the agent of Swallows midfielder Kamohelo Mahlatsi seems certain that his client will eventually move to Kaizer Chiefs. Amakhosi have been the long admirers of Mahlatsi who has improved a lot since signing for the Dube Birds from SuperSport United.
“I think so, listen I don’t think anything is cast in stone in football, we’ve seen that,” Makaab said on Gagasi FM’s Extra Time.
“I’m still pretty confident that the deals that are on the table between the two clubs will be concluded. Who knows, I’m still expecting that to happen.”
With PSL-Promotion Play-Offs done and dusted, Swallows can now breath and be able to discuss the future of their players. Makaab who represents many players at Maswaiswai will hold a meeting with the club’s chairman David Mogashoa to discuss the way forward as far as the deals on the table are concerned.
“We’ll be discussing certain things early next week, we have a few players there and two players on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns, and we’ve got Kamohelo Mahlatsi and another player at Swallows,” added Makaab.
“So yes we’ll be having discussions with the Chairman and we’ll also be having discussions with all the football clubs. Our team meets every single Tuesday, we have a zoom meeting, where we get all of our football agents together. We discuss every single possible opportunity for the players.
“Those particular that don’t have clubs and those that are unsettled. It’s an ongoing process, but it’s one that is pretty exciting. It’s a tough period for us, a tough time of the year, but it’s truthfully what we live for.”
Other players from Swallows who might join the Glamour Boys are Dillon Solomons and George Matlou. The 26-year-old right-back is understood to have completed things with Amakhosi but he remained coy when asked about the possible move.
“My phone has been ringing but that’s my agent’s job, he has everything on lock you know and for me now it’s just to go home now and enjoy the break,” said Solomons as per iDiski Times.
“I haven’t seen my family in a while, so it’s just for me to enjoy my break and let my agent do the work.”
On the other side, it only appears now that Chiefs have also added Matlou to their wanted list. They are understood to be the front runners among the clubs who are hunting the services of the 23-year-old.
