Itumeleng Khune Given Time Off By Kaizer Chiefs! The Bafana Bafana international lost his sister a house fire on Thursday morning.

It was expected that Itu Khune wouldn’t engage in any football activities for the foreseeable future. He will miss Chiefs’ CAF Champions League match this weekend.

He is also likely to miss upcoming DSTV Premiership matches too.

Khune is believed to be in Ventersdorp, North West at the moment with the rest of his family. He is believed to be devastated after the tragic passing of his sister.

Mapula Meiki Khune lost her life to a house fire in the early hours of Thursday morning. This happened at their grandmother’s house in Tshing, Ventersdorp.

Mapula was in one of the outside rooms when an intruder broke into her room and subsequently set it alight, according to the source.

Ventersdorp police are still awaiting the post-mortem report. They also confirmed that no conclusion has been made, an investigation is currently on-going.
