Jamie Webber Free to Leave SuperSport United at The End of The Season! The midfielder will run out his contract this campaign.

The contract of Jamie Webber will expire at the end of the current season. He is expected to leave the club on a free transfer and not renew.

Jamie Webber has previously been linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs this season. This something which may happen on a free transfer.

Webber has seen his game time dwindle this season under the tutelage of Gavin Hunt. Midfielders Grant Magerman and Siphesihle Ndlovu have been preferred over him, who arrived five years ago from Stellenbosch FC.

“It’s emerged that unless the club moves swiftly to offer the player a new contract, the former junior international is expected to continue his career elsewhere in the Premier Soccer League – or even abroad – next season.” SABC Sport has revealed.

“But it is understood the option on his contract has not been exercised, with SABC Sport being informed the pre-agreed date has lapsed. 

“That scenario then allows Webber to open talks with any interested suitor according to FIFA rules, meaning the midfielder can sign a pre-contract and move on from the Tshwane outfit effective 1 July. 

“According to sources, there are no formal offers yet for the player in the PSL or elsewhere, but that’s not to say there have not been any inquiries.”
