Jeremy Brockie Shoots His Shot At Kaizer Chiefs! Have A Look

With Kaizer Chiefs having named departing players ahead of the upcoming season, former SuperSport United and Mamelodi Sundowns striker Jeremy Brockie has availed himself if Amakhosi want a number nine.

Brockie who’s currently playing for Edgeworth in his home country, whether he was making a joke or not but surely if an approach from Chiefs would come his way, he would grab the opportunity right away.

“Hey @MikeMakaab I see there’s been a few exits @KaizerChiefs are they looking for a sniper?,” Brockie asked on Twitter.

Joining him on the topic was the former Bidvest Wits and SuperSport United striker James Keen who also asked Brockie if he needs a partner at Amakhosi.

“I can make a come back also if you need a strike partner.” Keen commented while Brockie replied, “Let’s rock in”.

Brockie left his mark at SuperSport as he scored 28 goals in 81 games that he played and he used to score against the so-called ” big teams”.

The New Zealand international moved to Matsatsantsa’s cross-town rivals, Sundowns in 2018. His move was the most talked-about in the transfer window, however, his switch proved sour as he didn’t get so much game time. He only featured in 13 games and scored one goal for The Brazilians.

He was eventually loaned to Maritzburg United in 2019 where he played 12 games and scored one goal. It was in 2018 when he decided to move back to his home country when he signed for Edgeworth. In 17 games that he has played, he has found the back of the net on 16 occasions.

Meanwhile, the retired James Keen was signed by Bidvest Wits in 2016 as a free agent after he left Halmstads BK. He found himself a regular spot as a forward in Gavin Hunt’s team. He tapped the net 12 times over 39 games he played for the now-defunct Bidvest Wits.

SuperSport United secured his services in 2018 and he would play 22 games and score three goals before moving to Sweeden. He signed for Östers IF where he featured 48 games and scored eight goals prior to hanging up the boots.
