John Maduka Knew Kaizer Chiefs Would Give Royal AM Chances! The Twihli Twahla head coach oversaw a stunning win on Saturday night.

Royal AM defeated Kaizer Chiefs 4-1 at the FNB Stadium in the DSTV Premiership on Saturday evening. Head coach John Maduka says he knew they would have chances to score in the game.

Victor Letsoalo hit the post within the first two minutes of the game. Which vindicates the statement of the coach.

Letsoalo scored two goals in the game. Chiefs pulled one goal back through Sifiso Hlanti.

However, the comeback was quickly quietened as Sibusiso Mabiliso scored an own goal soon after to make it 3-1. Mfundo Thikazi rounded off the scoring in injury time.

“We started the game very slow, though we had the first chance when Victor Letsoalo hit the post,” Maduka said to the media after the win.

“But we started slowly, we could not get passes together. It took us long to play the game we wanted.

“After that we got a goal and were getting better and better as the game progressed.

“In the second half we had the same because, as much as there were chances for both teams, we tried to make sure we defended better.  I think we did defend better.

“We knew if we did that Chiefs would give us chances to score.

“On the day we made use of our chances and became victorious.

“At the end of the day you see, both teams had a different approach, we had our own different approach,” he told reporters.

“Of course, when we planned, we knew that Chiefs have been playing well, they create so many chances and we knew that is going to be the same” the coach said.
