Kaitano Tembo Grateful to Have Buhle Mkhwanazi at SuperSport United! The former Bafana Bafana international joined Matsatsantsa last week.

Buhle Mkhwanazi joined SuperSport United on a free transfer in the past week. Head coach Kaitano Tembo is grateful to have such an experienced player join the youthful side.

SuperSport United have been renowned to have young players come through their ranks on a yearly basis. The experience of Mkhwanazi will help the young players at the team according to Tembo.

“We have also brought in Buhle Mkhwanazi to add experience and leadership at the heart of our defence.” Tembo said in his online column for SuperSport United.

“He brings in a lot of experience as a Bafana Bafana international who has won trophies with his previous clubs.

“His presence will also help our young players like Keenan Phillips, Luke Fleurs, Jesse Donn and Thatayaone Ditlhokwe to learn how a professional player lives on and off the field.”

Matsatsantsa drew 0-0 with Cape Town City in their first DSTV Premiership game of the season. This followed an MTN 8 exit to Golden Arrows on penalties.

“I will be back from suspension in our next game against Arrows, but nothing has really changed in terms of how we train and our match preparation. We have a structure that is in place that we follow, and I have been involved with the team in that regard.

“I would like to thank coach Andre Arendse and coach Grant Johnson for making sure that our tactical and technical principles are followed during the matches.” He spoke.

Golden Arrows won their first league game of the season against Maritzburg United last Saturday. This followed their MTN 8 win against the very same SuperSport United the previous week.

“We are playing a team that is high in confidence after knocking us out of the cup and they won their first league game.

“They play some good football, but I believe we have a good team to go out there and compete and get a positive result and we are also playing at home.” Tembo concluded.
