Kaizer Chiefs Confirm Durban and Polokwane Venues for Crucial CAF Confederations Cup Home Matches

Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed where they will play their remaining home matches in the CAF Confederations Cup as they prepare for a demanding second half of the season. With their continental campaign finely balanced, venue selection has become a key part of their strategy.
The Soweto giants have returned to training at the Kaizer Chiefs Village, focusing on both domestic consistency and continental recovery. Chiefs currently sit fourth on the Betway Premiership log and remain within reach of the leading pack. Their next domestic assignment comes on 22 January when they host Lamontville Golden Arrows at FNB Stadium, a fixture that could set the tone for the weeks ahead.
While league form has been steady, Chiefs face pressure in Africa. After two group matches in the CAF Confederations Cup, Amakhosi are third in Group D and still searching for their first win. The margin for error is now slim, making the remaining fixtures decisive.
Chiefs have confirmed that Durban and Polokwane will host their last two home matches in the group stages. The team travels first to Zambia to face Zesco United away on Sunday, 25 January 2026. They then welcome the same opponents to Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Sunday, 1 February. The choice of Durban offers a large venue with proven experience in hosting high-profile continental matches.
The final home fixture will take place at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Sunday, 8 February, where Chiefs will face Egyptian side Al Masry. The Polokwane venue has become increasingly popular for major fixtures and is expected to draw strong local support. All three group matches involving Zesco United and Al Masry are scheduled to kick off at 15:00.
Chiefs will conclude their group stage campaign with a challenging away trip to Egypt, where they face Zamalek on 15 February. That match could ultimately decide whether Amakhosi progress to the knockout rounds or see their continental journey come to an early end.
For Chiefs, the message is clear. Results must follow preparation. With venues confirmed and fixtures locked in, the focus now shifts to performances that can revive their CAF Confederations Cup ambitions and restore belief among players and supporters alike.
