Kaizer Chiefs’ DStv Diski Challenge Team Set for England Tour

Kaizer Chiefs’ DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) team will be led by Thulani Mabaso and Naledi Hlongwane during their upcoming tour of England. The tour, a reward for finishing as DDC champions last season, will run from November 25 to December 7 and features matches against top Under-21 sides in England.
The Chiefs will face Manchester United U21 on November 28, Leeds United U21 on December 2, and Queens Park Rangers U21 on December 6. During the trip, the players will also visit the academies of Manchester United and Liverpool, providing exposure to elite youth development programs.
Mabaso, who featured in the first team during pre-season and has appeared in senior matchday squads this term, will act as a key figure in midfield. Hlongwane will lead the attack after earning a start in the 2-0 victory over Stellenbosch FC at the start of the season. Although he has been on the bench twice since, he has yet to add further minutes for the senior side.
Joining them are Manqoba Ozoemana and Kabelo Nkgweswa, both of whom were involved with the first team during pre-season. Their inclusion strengthens the squad and gives them an opportunity to gain international experience.
The tour offers a platform for Chiefs’ young talents to showcase their abilities against competitive English youth teams, gain exposure to advanced training methods, and prepare for potential integration into the senior squad. This experience is expected to accelerate their development and maintain Amakhosi’s strong pipeline of emerging players.
