Kaizer Chiefs Hit by Another Injury Ahead of Busy Fixture Schedule

Kaizer Chiefs face mounting challenges as injuries continue to disrupt their campaign across multiple competitions. The Soweto giants are competing on three fronts this season: defending the Nedbank Cup, pursuing the league title, and contending in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Right back Reeve Frosler has joined an already lengthy injury list at Naturena, which includes Thabo Cele, Rushwin Dortley, George Matlou, Sibongiseni “Ox” Mthethwa, and Bradley Cross. A club insider confirmed to Soccer Laduma that Frosler is among the casualties.
“Another one is Reeve. Reeve is also injured. But he’s not playing anyway. Those are the injuries that are there. And that’s the reason why they had to even get this boy (Thulani Mabaso) in the team,” the source revealed.
The insider also noted that Thabo Cele remains sidelined, and Rushwin Dortley continues his recovery. The exact timelines for their returns have not been disclosed by the club.
Kaizer Chiefs face a demanding schedule, with four games in the next 12 days. This includes two crucial CAF Confederation Cup matches against Zesco United, a Betway Premiership clash with Marumo Gallants, and a Nedbank Cup fixture against Stellenbosch FC.
The compressed fixture list, combined with a thin squad, poses a significant challenge for coach Arthur Zwane. Squad rotation and managing player fitness will be vital if Chiefs are to remain competitive across all competitions.
With injuries piling up, the club will rely heavily on younger players and recent signings to step up. Chiefs must navigate this period carefully to maintain momentum and continue their pursuit of trophies this season.
