Kaizer Chiefs do some overhauling.

Kaizer Chiefs have announced the release of seven first team players and have appointed Patrick Mabedi as the new assistant coach.

Siyanda Xulu, Lucky Baloyi, Camaldine Abraw, Lewis Macha. Enocent Mkhabela, Siphelele Mthembu and Michelle Katsvairo are the players to be released.

All of these players did not feature in a lot of games this season, and they are deemed surplus to requirements. Xulu, Baloyi, Abraw and Macha have had their contracts terminated by mutual consent.

Mthembu’s contract will not be extended and Katsvairo will be made available for loan. It should expected that Chiefs will bring in suitable replacements.
