Kaizer Chiefs confirmed that they are far from done in the transfer window. The club says that they will make more announcements after their big CAF Champions League final next week Saturday (17 July 2021).
The club yesterday announced that Njabulo Ngcobo, Sibusiso Mabiliso, Kgaogelo Sekgota, Phathutshedzo Nange, Sifiso Hlanti and Brandon Peterson. They will be looking to add more players into the mix in the coming weeks.
“We are happy that we have been able to reinforce our goalkeeping department, defence and midfield. We still need to work on adding firepower upfront to ensure that we have enough personnel in all departments.” Head of Technical and Youth Academy Molefi Ntseki said.
This will be a welcome statement for the Amakhosi nation. Kaizer Chiefs are coming back from a 1 year ban in the transfer window.
They are now looking to make up for their year away from the transfer market. The club is still linked with a possible move for the likes of Sipho Mbule, Teboho Mokoena and Thabo Nodada.
Kaizer Chiefs also announced that midfielder Given Thibedi has returned from his loan spell at Soweto rivals Swallows FC.
“In addition, Chiefs have decided to retain one of the Club’s brightest Youth Development Academy graduates, midfielder Given Thibedi who is back following a loan spell with Swallows FC.
“Thibedi, now 23, will vie with former youth teammates Nkosingiphile Ngcobo and Njabulo Blom for spots in the Amakhosi midfield. He will wear jersey #13. His contract will run until June 2023” the club confirmed.
