Kaizer Chiefs Reportedly Set to Sign Sibongiseni Mthethwa! The midfielder has enjoyed a stellar start to the current domestic season.

Midfielder Sibongiseni Mthethwa has been one of the standout players in the PSL this season. Because of this, reports suggest that Kaizer Chiefs could be interested in the player.

Mthethwa joined Stellenbosch FC from Black Leopards at the beginning of the year. He finished the last season with Stellies, and this is his first full season in the DSTV Premiership.

We are not even halfway through the campaign, and he is already attracting interest from the big boys in the league.

His performances have warranted a call-up to the national team from Hugo Broos.

“He was one of the players Chiefs were looking at, but they wanted to give him more time with Stellies to see if he is the real deal,” a source revealed to Phakaaathi.

“I think his showing for Bafana sealed the deal for him and Chiefs will definitely go for him in January. I hear they might even offer one of their central midfielders to sweeten the deal which should not be too difficult as the two teams have a good relationship when it comes to transfers.

“It is him (Mthethwa) and a striker whose identity I do not know yet who are the main targets for the January transfer window,” the source added.
