Kaizer Chiefs Reschedule Betway Premiership Clash Amid CAF Confederations Cup Commitments

Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed a new date for their Betway Premiership fixture against TS Galaxy following their qualification for the CAF Confederations Cup group stages. The club announced on Tuesday that the match will now take place on Sunday, 7 December 2025, at Mbombela Stadium, kicking off at 15h30. Ticket details are yet to be confirmed.
The change aligns with the PSL’s efforts to accommodate Chiefs’ continental schedule. The Soweto-based side secured their place in the group stages after overcoming Kabuscorp and AS Simba in the first and second preliminary rounds of the CAF Confederations Cup for the 2025/26 season.
Chiefs have been drawn in Group D alongside Egyptian sides Al Masry and Zamalek, with Zesco United of Zambia completing the group. Their group stage campaign begins with an away fixture against Al Masry on Sunday, 23 November.
In the domestic league, Chiefs are showing strong form. They currently sit third on the Betway Premiership log, level on points with second-placed Orlando Pirates and three points behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns. Before facing TS Galaxy, Chiefs will travel to Gqeberha to take on Chippa United on 3 December, maintaining a busy December schedule as they balance league and continental commitments.
The rescheduling reflects the club’s strategic planning to ensure players remain fit and competitive across multiple competitions, aiming to make an impact both locally and on the continental stage.
