Keenan Phillips Impressed Gavin Hunt with His Performance! Matsatsantsa got the better of Amakhosi over the weekend.

The right back played in his first match in a long while, after struggling with injuries.

“Yeah, he hasn’t played all year the boy, he was out for so long and it’s such a pity come to the end of the season.” Hunt told SuperSport TV after the game.

“But he was fantastic, I had him at [Bidvest] Wits, we let him come here when we sold out. Great attitude, I had him at Hellenic down in Cape Town.

“So, I know the boy well and he’s been unfortunately out the whole year. But, anyway, fantastic performance from everybody, Keenan [Phillips] included.

“I told him when we played Stellenbosch, I told him you’re going to play next week, in two weeks’ time. So, he had enough time, but he was magnificent, everybody was.

“It’s just a pity we couldn’t make it count when we had so many opportunities today, we could have really closed the game off and we didn’t do it you know.

“But we’re a battling side, we put a team together here at the beginning of the year [season], taking all these guys who were out of contracts and make them a team. Fantastic. As I said to the, if they can play like this every week they can play for me anytime, and this is all we need.” He spoke.
