Kaizer Chiefs forward Khama Billiat has expressed his pride in his teammates for making it this far. As someone who has already won this competition, he insists that it is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Fitness concerns mean that there is an uncertainty around Billiat’s availability for Saturday.
“It is a great experience, and a blessing to be part of the team at the moment.” Billiat told the media.
“It’s a lifetime experience that any other player would want to have. It requires a lot of hard work to be mentally strong.
“We still are maintaining professionalism; we must do things the best way the coach [Stuart Baxter] wants from training. We will work on one or two things to make a difference in the game.
“It is looking good. It was not easy, if you look at the games we played.
“There was nothing for free, we worked for it. The guys really came to the party.
“We are meeting the best of Africa and competing for a big trophy. The [management] team has done well to make sure that when we get to African countries, we are in the right frame of mind, regardless of what was going on domestically.
“The ups and downs. We must give credit to everyone, the supporters who have been with us through the hard times.
“We are now 90 minutes away from the biggest trophy that any club in Africa would want to have.” he concluded. Khama Billiat Feels Blessed to Be Part of This Kaizer Chiefs Team!
