Lazalous Kambole Insists That Kaizer Chiefs Need A Positive Result In Morocco! The Amakhosi have arrived in Casablanca for their CAF Champions League semi-final tie.
Kaizer Chiefs face Wydad Casablanca in the semi-final first leg of the CAF Champions League in Morocco. Attacker Lazalous Kambole is adamant that if they grab a win or draw then they can make it to the final.
Alongside striker Leonardo Castro, Kambole is one of the more experienced Kaizer Chiefs players in African football. He reached the semi-finals with former side Zesco United in 2016.
They lost to eventual winners Mamelodi Sundowns. A side which consisted of Castro himself.
“It’s going to be nice to go beyond the semi-finals,” Kambole told the media department of Kaizer Chiefs.
“This has been my breach I lost in the semi-finals in 2016. So, here is another opportunity to go all the way to the final and win the competition”.
His experience will be greatly appreciated by the Kaizer Chiefs faithful. This is the first time in the illustrious history of the club that they go this far in the tournament.
“What I have learnt is that doing well away from home is important,” he says.
“Now that we are starting away from home, we need a positive result. A win or a draw with goals will give us an advantage.
“Doing well in Morocco will mean that we are likely to progress. Chiefs have both the will to succeed and the know-how on Wydad,” stresses Kambole.
“We are hungry as a team and have done our homework, but we know it’s not going to be easy. We are playing against a very difficult side away from home, we know what to expect and we will strategise on how we can gain an advantage.” He laments.
The game takes place on the 19th of June 2021 with kick-off later that night. Lazalous Kambole Insists That Kaizer Chiefs Need A Positive Result In Morocco!
