Liverpool Crowned 2022 Carabao Cup Champions! The Reds got the better of the Blues in an exhilarating cup final.

Liverpool defeated Chelsea 11-10 on penalties in the Carabao Cup Final. This is a record extending 9^th title win in the tournament, no team has won more.

The match had ended in one of the most exciting 0-0 draws anyone could imagine. It was not one of those boring stalemates.

There was a total of 4 goals disallowed for offside play, with VAR (Video Assistant Referee) interjecting in those decisions. Chelsea had three disallowed while Liverpool only had disallowed.

The match somehow went into extra-time and even to penalties. We witnessed one of the most extraordinary penalty shootouts as both sets of on field players all scored.

The game was won and lost when both goalkeepers had to score, and it was the Chelsea ‘keeper who fluffed his lines.

“They scored with all of them I think, we missed one, I’m not 100 per cent sure anymore. That’s life.

“As a professional sportsperson, that’s life. So now, in 10 years’ time, nobody will ask, ‘How did you win exactly against Chelsea?’

“You just have to win it. Were we better tonight than that time against City? I’m not 100 per cent sure, to be honest, but we are more experienced, that’s a massive difference.

“We don’t get nervous when things don’t go well. We keep really our nerve and stuff like this.” The manager confirmed.
