Mamelodi Sundowns Reserves Keen To Book Semi-Final Spot! Surprise Moriri’s charges are on a quest to finish in a top 2 position.

The Mamelodi Sundowns reserves have it all to play for against Orlando Pirates on Saturday. Only a victory would guarantee a semi-final spot in the DSTV Diski Challenge.

The junior Brazilians thumped Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila 6-0 over the past weekend. This was sweet resurgence as they lost to Arthur Zwane’s Kaizer Chiefs in the previous week.

“Our plan going into this game was like any other that we’ve played before, we knew that we were going to create chances, our challenge was to convert those chances especially in the first half because we let the teams off the hook in the first half [then] second half it becomes difficult because you find that the opponent’s end up having a belief that they can get something out of the games.” Surprise Moriri told the press after the win.

Sundowns are currently in stream 2 of the DSTV Diski Challenge. They are unlikely to catch up to stream leader Kaizer Chiefs.
