Mamelodi Sundowns Set to Release ‘Unhappy’ Kermit Erasmus! The Masandawana striker has seen himself severely drop down the pecking order recently.
Kermit Erasmus joined Mamelodi Sundowns from Cape Town City in 2020. However, it seems that his time at the club may come to an end shortly.
Romeo has not been the sensation that he hoped he would be at Chloorkop. When he joined from the Cityzens two years ago, there was much hype about the signing, and he was expected to be a major success.
He has not been a failure in any way whatsoever, but he has been a far cry from what is expected of a player with his qualities. Instead, he has become more of a benchwarmer.
He joined in the same transfer window as Peter Shalulile. Erasmus boldly claimed that he would score 30 goals in the Masandawana colours that season.
However, it is the Namibian Peter Shalulile who has reached those heights. This has seen his game time severely dwindle.
“The case of Romeo (Erasmus) is not too complicated. He wants to play, and coaches cannot guarantee him that,” Mgosi reported recently
“There are a few clubs who have shown interest in the 32-year-old, but his heart is in the Mother City.”
With a few weeks remaining in the transfer window, his fate will be decided in due time. Mamelodi Sundowns Set to Release ‘Unhappy’ Kermit Erasmus!
