Mamelodi Sundowns Wins The Nedbank Ke Yona Challenge

The Nedbank Ke Yona team – a side made up of amateur players selected from around the country to played against the Nedbank Cup champions Mamelodi Sundowns. The Ke Yona Team came into the game determined to upset the champions, but found the going tough as Sundowns came determined to give the young boys the opportunity to test their skills against a Premier Soccer League side. Mamelodi Sundowns football club defeated the 2015 Ke yona challenge team by 2-0.Mamelodi sundowns win was inspired by the brace scored by Katlego Mashego.

Since the inception of the Ke Yona challenge no team has managed to shock the Premier Soccer League club, while no Ke Yona side has found the back of the net in all three years.One of the coaches of the Nedbank Ke Yona team Mike Mangena has heaped praise on Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane for fielding a full “tried and tested” team for the annual Nedbank Ke Yona  Challenge. Lets hope the next Ke Yona team will manage to win, or at least get a consolation goal for the previous and upcoming Ke Yona teams. Katlego Bojela was named Man-of-the-Match.
