Manchester United Advance Past Real Betis in UEFA Europa League! The Reds have made it to the last eight once more.

Manchester United beat Real Betis 1-0 in the UEFA Europa League last night. They are in the quarterfinals of the tournament.

The Reds went into the encounter with a huge lead from the first leg. Marcus Rashford scored the only goal of the match in the second half, to put the match beyond their Spanish opponents.

“We gave everything we had; we knew that the first 20 minutes would be difficult, but we dealt with it.” Goalkeeper David De Gea told UEFA.

“They had some good chances, then we went into the break at 0-0, and at that point, the game was almost done.

“There are a lot of games, we’re playing every three days. Its tough but the manager wants to go for it all and we make small adjustments for each competition.

“Of course, we want to win the Europa League. We demonstrated against a good Betis side that we want to compete, and we want to go for this Europa League.” He concluded.

Manager Erik Ten Haag is happy to have defeated the La Liga side on two separate occasions.

“I’m happy.” He spoke.

“Betis are a really good team, we saw that against Real Madrid and Barcelona, but we beat them twice, so I think we performed really well. Second half we were much better on the ball, keeping it in their half and then you create chances.” He added.
