Mandla Ncikazi Parts Ways with Golden Arrows! The Abafana Bes’thende coach will leave the club after a very successful first season as first team coach.
“Lamontville Golden Arrows F. C. announces that the club along with Coach Mandla Ncikazi have reached an agreement to amicably part ways.” The club said in a statement.
“We would like to thank him for his exceptional service, in different spells, over a 15 year period. Not only in the first team but also in the youth structures and the past, present and future stars produced during his time
“He leaves through an open door and like any member of the family, he is welcome back at any time. We wish him well in his future endeavours.” The statement concludes.
Mandla Ncikazi guided Golden Arrows to a 4th place finish in the DSTV Premiership this season. That is as high as the club has finished before.
They now have the opportunity to participate in the CAF Confederations Cup, should they make it through the playoffs.
Ncikazi served as an assistant coach to the likes of Steve Komphela, Manqoba Mngqithi and Shaun Bartlett in his time at the club. He joined in 2006.
The highly regarded coach is already linked with a high profile job with Orlando Pirates. The Buccaneers are said to be considering the appointment of current head coach Josef Zinnbauer.
Pirates’ fans have been left disappointed with the current season and have been calling for the German to be sacked.
Ncikazi now joins Gavin Hunt as possible replacements for Josef Zinnbauer should the coach depart the club. Mandla Ncikazi Parts Ways with Golden Arrows!
