Maritzburg United Striker Judas Moseamedi Flies Mother For First Time
The festive season is indeed upon us and it is a time for giving and spreading love with family and friends. Maritzburg United striker Judas Moseamedi had a special treat for his mother this Christmas, putting her on a plane to Durban to watch him in action in the Telkom Knockout final against Mamelodi Sundowns.
This is the first time the Limpopo-born striker’s mother has travelled on a plane.
“They have always been coming to watch our games when we play in Limpopo. I just decided that it will be nice if I made her year special by getting her and my uncle for the first time on a flight for the final here in Durban. She will be at the stadium tomorrow.”
Moseamedi was the hero as Maritzburg United stunned Kaizer Chiefs to reach the Telkom Knockout final and the gesture by the striker of bringing close relatives is of one who feels they can win the trophy.
“We are looking forward to winning the final. We are working very hard at training every day to at least get one trophy this season and finish in the top four. ” said the Limpopo-born attacker.
