TS Galaxy goalkeeper is yet another PSL player driving a VW Polo. But his rendition is the older school and not the newer, more fancy versions.
There is no other vehicle brand more popular than the Volkswagen in the PSL, with their Polo’s the number one driven car. This is because of its compatibility with the profiles of these players.
However, these days, modern players drive the latest Polo GTI’s and Polo GTI’s. It is not often that a player will drive a normal Polo TSI, which was released some years ago.
Buthelezi is one such player, who does not seem to be interested in the newer and fancier versions. He keeps it simple in his white Polo.
This is a vehicle one may say he is lucky to still have after what he experienced earlier this year. Statistically, the VW Polo is the most highjacked car in South Africa.
This is what Buthelezi went through, in Soweto in February. He was highjacked while travelling with his brother.
The two attempted to fight back, and in the melee that ensued, they suffered stab wounds which left them hospitalised. Fortunately, they were able to survive the incident.
Buthelezi revealed that his tracking company was able to locate his VW Polo.
“I feel good. I’ve fully recovered,” he told the TS Galaxy media at the time.
“I don’t feel any pains where I got stabbed. My brother is also okay.
“I was in touch with him. I can assure you guys, that he is in the right frame.” He added.
