Morgan Mammila Thanks His Family After Kaizer Chiefs Win! The Chilli Boys grabbed an unexpected win over Amakhosi this weekend.

Chippa United defeated Kaizer Chiefs 2-1 in the DSTV Premiership on Saturday night. Head coach Morgan Mammila was left emotional after grabbing the unlikely win.

The hosts took the lead through a Siyabonga Ngezana header in the first half. Chippa though they had equalized but the goal was incorrectly judged to be offside.

However, Siphelele Luthuli did grab the leveler soon after this disappointment. Ronald Pfumbidzai scored the winner in the dying embers of the match to give them the win.

This means that Chippa United have won 3 successive league matches for the first time in several years.

“I was told its 8 years, since we last won three games in a row,” Mammila told SuperSport TV.

“But credit goes to the boys. They stuck to the plan.

“I said we are going to dictate this game, on our terms. We’ve done that, and the support that we are getting from the Chippa United family, from the chairman [Chippa Mpengesi], the supporters and everyone who loves football.

“If I’m allowed, please allow me to thank my family, more especially grandmother, who is watching now,” he went on to thank his grandmother in his native Sepedi.

“It was difficult because we haven’t played for close to a month. We didn’t want to go pound to pound with Chiefs, because they were going to kill us.

“So, what must we do now? Let’s play rondo with them, so that they must not come to you defensively.

“So, we study easily, and they did that. Credit to my boys, I don’t have anything to say.

“Whatever that we’ve doing over the past three weeks, these are the fruits of it.” The head coach added.
