Moroka Swallows chairperson David Mogashoa confirmed the signing of Sifiso Hlanti this morning. This comes as a surprise because Hlanti had been courted by Kaizer Chiefs for the entire transfer window.
Kaizer Chiefs could not complete the signing of Hlanti due to their FIFA transfer ban. The Amakhosi appealed this transfer ban to CAS (Court of Arbitration for Sport).
CAS dismissed Kaizer Chiefs’ appeal last week. Sifiso Hlanti began training with Kaizer Chiefs last month.
Hlanti, alongside former teammate Nange, were said to be the targets of attempted loan moves from Kaizer Chiefs. But these attempts fell void.
It seems Sifiso Hlanti could not wait for Kaizer Chiefs to be able to buy or register players once again, which would likely to be a year.
The news was confirmed this morning by Chairman David Mogashoa on his Twitter page.
The details of the contract are yet to be disclosed.
