Njabulo Blom Elated With #PSLAwards2021 Nomination!

Njabulo Blom Elated With #PSLAwards2021 Nomination! Njabulo Blom has been nominated as one of the three best young players in this year’s Nedbank Cup at the #PSLAwards2021. He is very thankful to the Kaizer Chiefs family for the support provided to him.

The versatile player has been nominated alongside Khanyisa Mayo and Maloisane Mokhele as the Most Promising Player of the Nedbank Cup. Blom only played for 45 minutes in the entire competition and earned himself a nomination.

“I would like to thank all those who nominated me for this award,” Blom told the club media.

“It was not easy at the beginning of the season because I was not at my best form, I would like to thank God for giving me the strength and the wisdom to carry on throughout the season. Also, thanks to my family my mom my younger brother – when things were tough, they still believed in me and stood with me” the young man said.

It has been an extremely difficult season for Kaizer Chiefs. They are 11^th, out of the top 8 places.

The Glamour Boys’ consolation is that they’re in the CAF Champions League semi-finals. They face stiff competition in the form of Wydad Casablanca.

“I would also like to thank my teammates and the coaches so much,” adds the midfielder.  

“The coaches kept on giving me chances and believing in me even when I was not at my best. My teammates also kept on motivating me.”

Blom’s nomination raised a lot of eyebrows as he only played 45 minutes in the entire tournament. Chiefs were knocked out in the first round by NFD minnows Richards Bay.

“I was not going to be nominated if I was not playing,” concludes Blom.

“I was not going to be where I am if it was not for the coaches. I want to once again thank everyone for believing in me and for their support.”. Njabulo Blom Elated With #PSLAwards2021 Nomination!
